Biographical Description

Moorfield Storey was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on March 19, 1845. Storey was a prominent civil rights advocate and attorney who served as the first president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (1909-1929). He died in Lincoln, Massachusetts on October 24, 1929.
