Biographical Description

Martin Van Buren was born in Kinderhook (Columbia County), New York,  on December 5th, 1782. Van Buren was an attorney and politician who served as the eighth president of the United States from 1837-1841. Van Buren died in Kinderhook (Columbia County), New York, on July 24th, 1862.
