Biographical Description
Thomas Lodowick Vail was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on September 27, 1827. Vail was a Confederate veteran, farmer, and chairman of the board of county commissioners for Mecklenburg County. He died in Providence (Mecklenburg County), North Carolina, on December 26, 1908.
