Elisabeth Rye was born in about 1770 in North Carolina. During the time of the American Revolution she lived in Wilkes County, Georgia. Sometime after the war she moved to Chambers County, Alabama, where she made a sworn affidavit in support of Margaret Strozier's widow's pension application. She died sometime after 1853.
