Biographical Description

William Hunt Hall was born in North Carolina in April 1833. A resident of Wilmington, he attended the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1855. He later became a physician, first establishing a practice in Wilmington. During the Civil War he served as an assistant surgeon for the Confederacy, and moved to New York City after the war. He died in New York City on July 8, 1918.
