Biographical Description

Richard Pilkinton was born in about 1758. He served as a private in the Johnston County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia from 1779 to 1781. A pensioner himself, he later made a sworn affidavit in support of his sister's widow's pension application attesting that he knew John Davis to have been a Revolutionary War soldier. He died sometime after 1843.
