Biographical Description
Adolphus Greenlee "Dolph" Wilson was born in Pensacola Township (Yancey County), North Carolina on May 18, 1861. Wilson, a son of mountain guide "Big Tom" Wilson, was an influential farmer, hunter, guide, and lodge proprietor on Mount Mitchell. He died in Pensacola Township on June 20, 1940.
