Biographical Description
Richard Kelly Davenport was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on February 2, 1859. Davenport was a merchant and farmer who served as legislator and as a member of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners. He died in Mount Holly on May 15, 1923.
