Biographical Description
A. Barton "Bart" Hutchens was born in Yadkin County, North Carolina, on January 18, 1853. Hutchens was a farmer in Rockford Township, Surry County. A devastating July 1916 flood wiped out his entire crop that season. He died in Surry County on May 17, 1933.
