Biographical Description
Sherman Lester Coe was born in Carroll County, Virginia, on December 27, 1896. Coe was a resident of Surry County in July 1916 when a catastrophic flood hit the region. Coe appears on a list of those impacted by the event. He died in Mount Airy (Surry County) on December 14, 1969.
