Andrew Oliver (d. 1793) was soldier and politician from Bertie County. In 1777 he was ordered to administer the oath of allegiance to residents in his own district in order to make sure that North Carolina's independence was not threatened and also served as a justice for the Bertie County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions. He later became a captain in the Bertie County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia and represented the county in the North Carolina General Assembly (1784-1787).
