Malachi Manning was a resident of Martin County. In September 1777 he was listed as a prisoner being held at the Edenton District Court of Oyer and Terminer, likely in relation to having been involved in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. Any other documents linking him to the conspiracy have not been located.
