Edward Harrison was a resident of Tyrrell County. In early July 1777 he swore two oaths and became a member of the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. When that plot was discovered, he came before the Tyrrell County justices of the peace and gave a sworn deposition about his knowledge of the conspiracy.
