Welbore Ellis (1713-1802) was a British politician who held several offices over the course of his career: lord of Admiralty (1747-1755), joint vice treasurer (1755-1762), secretary at war (1762-1765), treasurer of the navy (1777-1782), secretary of state for America (February-March, 1782).
