Biographical Description

George Randolph Scott was born on January 23, 1898, in Orange County, Virginia. During World War I, Scott served with the Coast Artillery Corps of the North Carolina National Guard and then Battery B of the 2nd Trench Mortar Battalion. From May 1918 to June 1919, he served overseas. Following the war, he embarked on a long career in Hollywood under the name Randolph Scott. Scott died in Beverly Hills, California, on March 2, 1987.
