Robert Morrison Miller, Jr. was born on April 20, 1856, in Pleasant Valley, South Carolina. Miller, a longtime resident of Charlotte, was a prominent textile manufacturer and one-time president of the American Cotton Manufacturers Association. He died in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on October 11, 1925.
