John Green was a merchant in New Bern, North Carolina by 1763. He was a merchant. In January 1773 he served as a witness for the pension certificate of Elizabeth Strange, a woman whose husband, John Strange, died due to an injury he received during his service in the War of Regulation. Later during the American Revolution the Craven County Safety Committee appointed Green to receive and ship provisions for citizens of Boston. Green died sometime after 1780.
