Biographical Description
Joshua C. Curtis was born in North Carolina on February 27, 1849. Curtis was a prominent farmer and Democratic politician in Buncombe County who served as a member of the board of county commissioners, as legislator (1899-1903), and on the county board of education. He died in Asheville on January 1, 1933.
