Biographical Description
James Ray Sr. was born in Orange County, North Carolina in about 1752. During the American Revolution, he and his wife Jane went and stayed with his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lydia Ray. He died in Jackson County, Tennessee in about February 1816.
