Biographical Description
Ethelred Jones was born in Johnston County, North Carolina on October 2, 1749. He served as a captain in the Wake County Regiment of the North Carolina Militia from 1780-1781, leading men during the battles of Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse. He died in Wake County, North Carolina on October 2, 1835.
