Charles Lynch was born in Virginia in about 1736. A resident of Bedford County, Virginia, he served in the Virginia House of Burgesses from 1769 to 1778 and later became a colonel in the Bedford County Regiment of the Virginia Militia during the American Revolution. He died in Virginia on October 29, 1796.
