Biographical Description
William Francis Dancy was born in Tarboro, Edgecombe County, North Carolina on October 11, 1818. He attended the University of North Carolina, graduating in 1837. He worked as a lawyer, and also owned several plantations. He died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1860.
