Adolphus G. Moore was born in North Carolina on December 8, 1836. A merchant in Alamance County, in July 1870 he was arrested and charged with being a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Moore was transferred Yanceyville, Caswell County for trial, but the charges were eventually dropped. He died in Graham, Alamance County on January 27, 1876.
