Biographical Description
Zephaniah Ming was a resident of Chowan County. In 1778 he refused to sign an oath swearing his allegiance to the State of North Carolina. In 1779 he was drafted into the Chowan County Militia and ordered to serve three months in the army outside the limits of North Carolina.
