Felix Kenan (d. 1785) was a resident of Duplin County who served as a local politician and sheriff. However, when he took up arms with the loyalists at the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge in 1776, he was removed from office. In 1777 he was ordered to be arrested, as it was suspected that he, as a prominent tory, had a hand in the Gourd Patch Conspiracy. Any role he had in the conspiracy is unproven and doubtful, and it is unclear whether or not he was actually arrested. He continued to live in North Carolina after the war's end and until his death.
