Biographical Description
William Richard Welborn was born on February 7, 1897, in Summit (Wilkes County), North Carolina. During World War I, Welborn served in the 156th Depot Brigade until honorably discharged on November 26, 1918. He died in Fresno, California, on December 8, 1964.
