Biographical Description
Samuel Martin (1714 - 1788) was a British bureaucrat who served as secretary of the Treasury from November 1756 to April 1757 and from April 1758 to April 1763. He was a half-brother of Josiah Martin, governor of North Carolina from 1771 to 1775.
