Biographical Description
John Thomas Thorne was born on June 22, 1873, in Wilson County, North Carolina. Thorne was a prominent farmer in Pitt County, North Carolina. During World War I, he was recommended to serve on the Pitt County Exemption Board; he doesn't seem to have served on the board. Thorne died in Rocky Mount (Nash County) on June 14, 1946.
