I certainly thank you for your courteous reply of November 19th. Your suggestions are certainly good, and I know that the colored citizens always appreciate the efforts of the law abiding white citizens to protect them.
I will be very glad indeed, to write personally to the Mayor of Winston, and to see it, that resolutions are passed in various sections of the state.
I again want to thank you for all that you have done along all lines for the advancement of my people in this state. We know that you are our friend, and we can always count upon you, to stand by us when the maintenance and the support of the law is involved.
