Hon. J. L. Edwards
Comr. of Pensions,
Dear Sir,

On the receipt of yours of the 14th Ulto & upon reflection as to the justice of her ^Mrs. Guests^ claim under the act of 1836, I determined as I had to go to see her to advise her to make another effort in support of the original application, before accepting under your proposition, and for that purpose, send you herewith, the additional affidavits of herself & Elijah Keese together with the certificates of the magistrates & clerk, which when properly considered, will I hope & believe, be sufficient to admit her claim as first made; corresponding as it does with the family recorded forwarded before

I am Sir,

Very respectfully

Your Obt. Servt.
