Mr. H. E. C. Bryant,
Care New York World,
Washington, D.C.
My dear Sir:-
Replying to your letter of recent date the Governor directs me to say that he would have written you before but has been out of the city. At his request I am enclosing herewith file in the matter of the Ku Klux Klan. The Governor says you may use the file in any way you desire, but to take good care of it and return same to the office just as soon as you are though with it, as this is the original file in the case. We would send you copy but our office force is not sufficient to do all the extra work that would be required in order to get it up.
Very truly yours,
Private Secretary.
