My dear Governor;
I know you will be interested to learn that the strike situation has been settled to the satisfaction of all concerned. Col. Johnson came up Tuesday and met with the committee Tuesday afternoon, when everything was harmoniously adjusted. Col. Johnson said he had come up to settle the matter, and left it with the committee to do what it thought right. We settled on the basis of 19¢, 21¢, 23¢ and 25¢. The agreement was signed up by Col. Johnson, Mr. Plummer, and the committees, and executed and signed by the committee representing the street car men.
