Honored Sir, we the undersigned citizens of Broad River Township, McDowel County, respectedfullly petition for help to build raods. We are cut off from markets and are packing in supplies from Black Mountain. Loss of crops and lands is great but we need most of all roads and as promptly as possible. All who are able will help with team and labor.
