Yours of the 16th received. As you no doubt know, Governor Craig is at present in Asheville, and will not be in his office again in Raleigh before about July 1st.
The Governor is now, and has been giving very serious consideration to the matter of convicts on the Watauga Railway. You can rest assured that he will do everything that he can looking to the interests of your section as well as to the whole state.
