Dear Sir
You will Receve a letter by the Barer George from my Son John Who Came from Colo Saltsers last Evening Informing You of a most Blodey plan supposed To be lade By Som of the Enemys of America—as to Particulars I Refer You to his letter it Doth not Remain a Doubt with me But that there is Som persons of note Concernd in this Horrid plan if that Should be the Case they will Certainly make an Attempt On Our publick Magazine the first thing if it is not well Garded—I hope Sr. You will Take Car of Your self—I Should have Don my Self the Honour to have wated on You my Self But my family Being all Down with the flux I Could not by Any means leave them Mr. James Harvey Lyes Extremely Ill with it I Dispare of his Ever Recovering Mrs. Blount Mrs. Harvey & Ned Baker is Vary Ill with it now Upwards of Twenty of my negros hath had it—
