His Majesty having been pleased by His Order in Council of the 30th of last Month to referr unto this Committee a Letter from Samuel Swann Esqr. Speaker of the Assembly of North Carolina to the Right Honourable William Pitt Esqr. One of His Majestys Principal Secretarys of State dated the 23d. of May 1760, together with an Address of the said Assembly complaining of the Male Administration of Arthur Dobbs Esqr. Governor of that Province and praying for Speedy Relief—The Lords of the Committee this day took the same into their Consideration and are thereupon pleased to Order that Copys of the said Letter and Address (which are hereunto annexed) Be transmitted to Arthur Dobbs Esqr. Governor of the Province of North Carolina, who is hereby required to return his Answer thereunto in writing to this Committee with all convenient Speed.
