Referring to special train opertaed from Raleigh to Winston-Salem, N.C., on Nov., 18th, handling troops from Camp Polk, also our conversation some days ago, at which time you requested that we bill the State of North Carolina through you to cover the transportation of the men handled on this special train.
Beg to advise we have received from the City of Winston-Salem, check, amount $996.80, covering the handling of these men Raleigh to Winston-Salem. The City of Winston-Salem also paid our agent at Winston-Salem direct to cover the transportation of these men from Winston-Salem to Raleigh.
