I write to say that I am heartily in sympathy with the purpose of the League to Enforce Peace. I wish to assure you that I am willing at any time to do anything in my power to assist you in furthering the interests of this League, for I believe it is vital to the welfare of the United States after peace is secured through our victorious arms.
