Local Exemption Board of Edgecombe County on May first sent to you petition for discharge, on grounds of dependency, of Joseph H. Corbett, Motor Truck Company Number Five, First Corps, Artillery Park. This is a distressing case according to representations of Local Board. I am advised that Corbett has been sent to Hoboken with his command. If this is so please have him held until you can definitely pass upon this application.
