Sir,
His Majesty having, in pursuance of an Address of the House of Commons of the 25th of last Month, commanded Us to lay before that House in the next Session of Parliament an Account of the Quantity of Iron made in His Majesty's Colonies in America from Christmas 1749 to 5th of January 1756, distinguishing each year; We desire you will forthwith upon the Receipt of this Letter, take the proper and most effectual method for obtaining the said Account, so far as relates to the Colony under your Governmt., and transmit the same to us with all possible expedition.
