May it please Your Excellencies,
Bundle C. 83. | Having lately received a Letter from Arthur Dobbs Esqr., Governor of His Majesty's Province of North Carolina, dated the 19th. of May 1755, in which he gives a particular Account of a fine Harbour, which he has lately surveyed at Cape Lookout within the said Province, and proposes the building a strong Fort there as a Matter of the greatest Consequence to the Trade and Navigation of Great Britain, as well as of the Southern Colonies on that Continent; We think it Our Duty humbly to lay before Your Excellencies the annexed Extract of the said Letter for Your Excellencies Directions thereupon. |
