President Wilson through war council appointed by him has designated week June eighteenth twenty fifth as Red Cross week to raise hundred million dollars for Red Cross war fund. Active campaigns are being promoted in all parts of the nation. Apportioned equitable among forty eight states this should be comparatively easy task. Based on bank resources bank deposits and character population of North Carolina she has been apportioned three hundred thousand dollars as her share. War council is depending on you to help in successful campaign in your state. S. W. McGill has been designated as southern field agent and J. S. Debnam as state agent for North Carolina. Please give these gentlemen all help possible in this national responsibility. Will you issue proclamation to all cities in your state urging cooperation in this great effort
