Hon. Geo. A. Holderness,
Tarboro, N.C.,
Dear Sir:-
We have your favor of the 30th. relative to the admission of Charlie Hyman and in reply will say, that we have again gone over his papers and note that Dr. Robertson states under question of the application that the patient has been afflicted "all his life, imbecility, entractable at times" under question thirty-nine he states that patient was born idiotic".
Chapter 97 Section 4 Paragraph 4572 of the Revisal prohibits the admission of idiots into State hospitals. It was on this ground that he has been declined admission.
We would like to help you out if we could and would be glad if you would furnish us with any additional information concerning this boy. Have you considered the advisibility of sending him to the Caswell Training School at Kinston?
Yours truly,
(signed-
