I have examd. the case of Mrs. Anna Guest, of S.C. widow of William Guest, who has been allowed a pension under Act of 7th July, 1838, but who first applied under Act of 4th July, 1836, and I am fully satisfied from the strong evidence of ^in^ this case that she was justly entitled to the benefit of the latter Act. You will see that she was married in 1779 and the birth of her first child took place in April 1780. He served in 1779 under Capt Moses Guest who has enjoyed a pension ^of sd. Act 7th June 32^ and I respectfully ask a reference to his papers. He continued in service till 1781.
