OFFICE OF
TALLASSEE POWER COMPANY.

TO THE ELECTRICAL AND OPERATING EMPLOYEES

We have received information that there is an effort on foot to or organize the Electrical Workers and Operators of the Power House and Rotary Stations in Badin,

Also that the Organizers of this Union are endeavoring to force by persuasion, intimidation or otherwise, certain of our electrical and operating forces to join this union.

We have been asked by certain of these employees what our attitude is in regard to this union.

Our attitude is and will be to oppose this move to the utmost, we will dismiss any one who joins this union. We will give our loyal support and protection to all who refuse to join.

Our main objection to having our employees join this union is based on the fact that it does not develop the spirit of fairness, square and friendly dealings between employees and employer and places the members of the union at the mercy of the President of the union if he orders you to strike in sympathy with other electrical workers in some other City regardless of the issue.

You have to obey his orders notwithstanding that your relations with us are harmonious.

The Company therefore pledges its loyal support to all who refuse to join and will dismiss all who joins.

Signed, Tallassee Power Company.
J. E. S. Thorpe, General Sup't
H. S. Beers, Electrical Sup't.
