You will find in the papers of Ann Haines, Term Adm, Act 4th July 1836, that Mr Fergusson has authorised me to attend to this case. Mr Fergusson in his letter to me stated to me that he had furnished the evidence from the records at North Carolina, but when I examined the papers it was not there and last week I wrote to the Comptroller.

It seems that Mr F had furnished the evidence, as is shewn by the accompanying papers, which came up in the regular mail. You will please report the result of the examination to me.
