Honorable Locke Craig,
Raleigh, N.C.

Dear Governor Craig:

I notice that you expect to go on Monday to the districts where the Flood disaster has been most serious, and as you may find one or two farm families of good record and reputation who have had their farms completely destroyed by the flood, I would say that I would be willing to supply a small farm for immediate use. As the growing season is long here crops can be planted later than would be practicable in that section of the State, and in fact some crops could be planted all winter, which will furnish food supplies. The farm would be about ten acres in area, and it would be necessary for a family to have its own mule and cow.

I have mentioned this matter to Mr. Britton and some members of the Relief Committee, and they may have possibly mentioned it to you.

Very truly yours,
