Our Commissioners have just passed a resolution authorizing an aggregate issue of $300,000.00 of good road bonds, $50,000.00 to be issued and sold immediately and balance from time to time as requested by the Highway Commission and needed as the road work progresses. I know you will join with me in a loud hurrah! This action by our Board was taken largely on account of the bill which I passed relative to the construction of a part of the Central Highway by State convicts under the direction of Dr. Pratt, and I trust there will be no delay in our getting the convicts, and a large number of them. We begin our work to-day.
