Henry Culpeper being sworn on the holy Avangeslists of Almighty God Deposeth and sayth, That he was at the House of John Lewelling in the County of Martin on a Sunday & he this Deponant of was in the yard & that the sd. Lewelling came to him & seem'd to be Angry; And said to this Deponant that he beleived they shoud be obliged to kill all the heads of the Country, and it must be done in the Night and then every man must return to his own home, this Depont. further sayth that he was at the house of the sd. Lewelling at Another time and he the sd. Lewelling said that the Matter Might be done without Spilling blood, this Deponant asked how, and he said by Confining the heads of the County, and if How shoud come round to Carolina, Deliver them up to him, And further this Deponant sayth Not—
