Sir,

Last Night I had the favor of receiving Your Letter of the 19th. January; Acquainting Me of the Regiment Raised last Campaign by Your Province, being Disbanded on its Return from the Frontiers; And that You had Prorogued the Assembly to the 6th. April next, that if any fresh Orders Should Come, in case of a Spanish War You might be in readiness.

I am in daily Expectations of the Arrival of a Packett from England, When I doubt not but I Shall be honored with His Majesty's Commands for the Operations of the Ensueing Campaign; And Whatever they May be, it is certainly right to be prepared; and therefore I Must Commend Your foresight in proroguing Your Assembly no longer than the 6th. April, as I Shall not fail to Communicate to You any Commands that May come to Me regarding Your Province, by the first Opportunity after I receive them.

I am, with great Regard,

Sir,
